1/7/2023 0 Comments clear or cleanToday's calendar invites me to "Clear Your Space".
Now, isn't that a fascinating turn of language. Clear can be used as clean in this context. Maybe it's better. Maybe it's wiser to use multiple meanings of Clear.
But I think Clean still has its place.

Self-care is an important aspect of maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Taking time to focus on your own needs and wants allows you to recharge and rejuvenate, which can ultimately lead to increased productivity and happiness. Whether it's indulging in a relaxing spa day or setting aside time for hobbies and activities you enjoy, investing in yourself can have numerous benefits for your mental and physical well-being. So don't be afraid to prioritize your own needs and make time for self-care. It's always time well spent.
As someone who is always on the go and trying to juggle a million different tasks and responsibilities, it can be easy to put myself on the back burner. I tell myself that I don't have time to take care of myself, that there are more important things that need my attention. But the truth is, any time I spend on myself is time well spent. Taking care of myself means taking care of my mind, body, and spirit. It means making sure that I am getting enough rest, exercise, and healthy nourishment. It means taking breaks when I need them and finding ways to relax and recharge. It means setting boundaries and making time for the things that bring me joy and fulfillment. When I prioritize myself, I am better able to handle the demands of my life. I have more energy, more clarity, and more resilience. I am able to approach my tasks with a positive attitude and give my best effort. I am also more patient and understanding with others, which helps to build strong relationships and foster a sense of community. But taking care of myself isn't just about the practical benefits. It's also about feeling good about myself and valuing my own well-being. It's about recognizing that I deserve to be treated with kindness and respect, and that I am worthy of taking up space in this world. So next time you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or like you don't have time for self-care, remember that any time you spend on yourself is time well spent. It's not a luxury, it's a necessity. And it will pay off in so many ways. 1/4/2023 0 Comments Taking care of our environmentAs someone who values mindfulness, I've come to realize the importance of cleanliness in my overall mental health and well-being. At first glance, it may seem like a small or insignificant aspect of our daily lives, but the truth is that being "clean" encompasses so much more than just tidying up our physical surroundings.
For me, being clean means taking care of my physical environment, both inside and outside of my home. This can be as simple as washing the dishes, making the bed, or tidying up clutter. But the benefits of cleanliness go beyond just having a tidy home. Maintaining a clean space helps to reduce stress and anxiety, as it allows us to have a clear and organized mind. When our physical space is cluttered, it can feel overwhelming and contribute to negative mental states. On the other hand, a clean space can provide a sense of calm and clarity, making it easier to relax and focus. In addition to the physical benefits of cleanliness, it's also important to consider the mental and emotional aspect of being clean. This can mean taking care of our inner selves – being mindful of the thoughts we allow into our minds, and making an effort to let go of negative or toxic ones. It can also mean taking care of our emotional well-being, by setting healthy boundaries and practicing self-care. Ultimately, being clean is about more than just having a spotless home or appearance. It's about taking care of ourselves and our environment in a way that promotes overall well-being. So the next time you reach for the cleaning supplies, remember that it's not just about the physical act of cleaning, but about taking care of yourself and your space in a mindful and intentional way. |
